At the Movies
You hear a lot about recognizing your Divine essence; about realizing the true Self. And the Masters are always saying that it’s simple. But you when They’re saying “simple” it’s very subtle.
So I thought I’d let you in on the easy way to get enlightened – I call it “Self-Realization for Dummies”. (If we spread this around there will be an enlightened world-population in a few short years!)
Here it is: Incarnation and Evolution is like being at the cinema! And this is how it works.
You are seated in the darkened auditorium, there’s sense of anticipation – this is the Absolute on the verge of creating a universe, a new Round of Existence. The images appear on screen. Now ignore the “adverts”, they’re just karmic flashes – it’s the main feature you’re here to see.
Projecting Light = Divine
Lens = the Personality
Screen = your life, personal and environmental
Film = drama –can be melodramatic
Getting into the film, its melodrama and hysteria – even though you know it’s transient.
Turning within, same as turning away from the screen, and looking at the Originating Light
I asked one of the Sages: “What’s this film all about?”
He replied, “I won’t spoil it by telling you the whole amazingly beautiful story – but I will say this - it has a happy ending … Divine in fact!”
